lyrics
Sixteen years is enough said Robbie
This has been our final dance
We have tempted fate a lot of times
Looking forward to the finish line.
We were taken to this magic place,
No more looking back, we were just there
That last song made us feel so gloomy
Witness to our farewell.
I’ll try to keep myself busy
This is ending and I feel so stuck
Nights and days went by with our best smile
Life and music slid 2000 miles
Woodstock was such a wonderful place
Hang in there! It made us feel all right
That last song fills our souls with gloom
Folding wings to come home.
The road knew all we had to learn
Let’s do our best to go ahead
Ooohhh, music took us anywhere
Not always on the right way
I can no longer stay in here
In this flying caravan
Every road that we have sailed
Was a mystery that hides in days
We were following the mermaid’s song
I never heard a sound like that before
The goodbye buried that last song
It’s beneath the stage, I feel it grow
People felt sadness sprang to Bloom
From that ground to come home

Though only their third studio album release, these veterans have been around for almost fifteen years--and they keep getting better with each release--which is hard to manage since their quality of compositions, performances, and production have always been top notch. A band that really should be heard! wafiii

They played a wonderful set at Summer’s End in October 2018 which was based around this album . For me it was one of the sets of the weekend. The record is a wonderful permanent reminder of the show. Tony Honour
